“Nervosa” is an introductory montage of galactic sounds and perfect blends of Post-rock, which does well to build an atmosphere for the remaining tracks. The band is a rock outfit that twinkle their way through songs, and mix them perfectly with melodic/tech choruses. In truth they have a really innocent and startled style that could develop well with a more confident approach. The warm at home vocals break up each and every song and is really pleasant if nothing else, and they work well with the pace of each track on their first double-album debut. I wouldn’t say they are instantly catchy, but give the tracks a few listens and it ends up sparkling in my opinion.

When I first heard about Showbread a year or two before getting my hands on this record I wasn’t sure about it at all. Again after repeated listens I grew to love "Nervosa", as it offers a fairly mature approach that isn’t always melodic, but sickly sweet. The overall tune of the record brightens my day. I think the album is greatly improved by each track and every listen Showbread isn't a band you can pop in and listen and toss it into your slew of other albums, it shouts and screams for you to throw it on repeat again and again.

I guess for me that’s what it comes down to though. Showbread probably aren’t going to change the face of music to come, but for 50 minutes they keep me occupied and singing along. So don't be a fool go check these guys out as soon as you can, I wouldn't say they're a diamond in the rough but Showbread are most certainly what their band name states they are, they are the finest bread you can buy so throw some shit down on the bread and show it? Haha Incredible!
