| With "Dialog," Paper Rival walks a dangerous line between taking risks and trying way to hard to blow your mind. Thankfully I can tell you that while the pieces of my mind are still safely in my head they came pretty damn close to shooting out my ears. Paper Rival prove that there's nothing to lose with "Dialog" they have sucessfully put out a record that matches the intensity of full-fledged albums that have dropped this year on majorlabels. So keep an eye out for this band in the future is what i'm telling you!
Paper Rival play songs that bounce you around, throw you upside down, and simply won't put you down. They can pick you up, sit you down, and spin you around. "Dialog" is a great full-length from beginning to end, i've been waiting for that indie record I can play through this slow yet fun summer, so i'd like to personally thank Paper Rival and Photo Finish for signing such an amazing band.
Paper Rival prove that with only 11 tracks to show they pack a punch and it just makes you anxious to hear what they have in store for the time coming. This level of growth and maturity on a brand new full-length is almost unheard of and frankly it’s inspiring from the demos to the true tracks it's really hard to believe. I can’t think of another band right now that could make fans of The Starting Line, Thursday, and any sort of mainstream pop artist as happy as "Dialog" will make them. Screw a genre, buy this record when it drops so you don’t have to when it’s popping up on end of the year top ten lists.
