| Not that The Ghost Inside have ever given anyone much to dislike. From their fuzzy powerful transition, The Ghost Inside have released an album riddled with shredding melodic beauty. Waiting for this album has perfected their sound I believe it hasn't made it more bland and less meaningful, if anything it’s sharpened it.
Previous tracks that I had listened to on myspace way before the album sounded like they wanted to go to 11 were instead holding back at an 8, leading to a feeling of uncertainty in the listener. "Fury And The Fallen Ones" however, although softer than anything the band has ever done, displays a hungry forcefulness to it’s subtle hardcore punch. Jonathan Vigil's voice hasn’t been this strong since I can remember but it is incredible. “Faith Or Forgiveness" is probably one of the best all around hardcore tracks I have heard in the longest time, I can't get enough of it! The opening track "Provoke" just throws the album in the right direction and the "Fury And The Fallen Ones" never strays from the path it laid down.
It’s easy to understand why hardcore fans have a hard time adjusting to newer bands or new sounds and it’s always been that way. But fighting through those biases is a battle worth winning, if not listening to records like this is the cost of losing. It would be a shame for anyone to miss The Ghost Insides stellar new full-length "Fury And The Fallen Ones" due to something so simple as preconceived notions.
