9.5 (out of 10)

I think it's safe to say this album is THE album of the year. I turned on this album with some doubts, it has completely made me look at A Change Of Pace in a completely new way. This album is un-arguably the best album of 2006.

My primary congratulatory applause is that A Change Of Pace bring a truckload of energy. As the first track on the album, “Prepare The Masses” welcomes a strong dose to what the listener should expect from a change of pace. The stage has definitely been set for what’s to come. Following that track, we are presented with "How To Rape A Country." (Best song title I’ve seen in ages, haha.) With a unique guitar riff, the song opens into mellow tempered vocals leading into some of the strongest string-tickling guitar plucking in the verses. The song then shifts into some amazing vocal work, pre-dominant drumming & outstanding guitar-work. The album progresses nicely. The album continues on in, with the super-catchy tracks such as: I'm Alive, Weekend Warriors, White Lines & Lipstick. The list goes on.

The production on the record is phenomenal. The vocal levels are amazing, letting the music carry the album, as it should. It is simply undeniable how catchy the majority of the songs on Prepare The Masses are. I’ve been listening to A Change Of Pace for a few years now, and it’s been quite an experience to watch them grow into what they are today.

One of the many major accomplishments on the album is that every song sustains the same musical quality, each as enthralling and pulsating as the next. What is the best track you may ask. It is hard for me to recommend a single track because in my opinion they're all on par. A better question/recommendation would be to go purchase the entire album, straight up. After listening to the album for a while, it is as clear as daylight why ACOP is so goddamn dominant, & how they differ them-selves from the same old Medi-core rock crap.

The album ends with Torry singing an acoustic track titled: "Safe And Sound In Phone Lines" with heartfelt-emotional lyrics, definitely one of my favorite acoustic tracks I’ve heard. Album of the year, straight up flawless album. I demand you go out and buy it. NOW.
