To me there is nothing better than a band taking the "Artist In The Ambulance" approach and using their talent and time for something that will benefit humankind. Anti-Flag is the newest member of the party, and after experiencing some close to home losses, have come out with banners flying with this Benefit EP looking to help any victim of violent crimes.

Totting a full 12 songs, this "EP" is starting to sound like a true effort that is looking to influence people far and wide. Using their style of sarcastic humor that focuses on political travesties, the band not only sings about getting through the tragedies but also how things need to be changed. The jumpy and catchy guitars are still here, right along with the call and response shouting vocals that they are known for.

Another great thing is that most of the songs subjects are relevant and thought provoking. This isn't just another "Fuck The System" selection, but it does offer some hilarious shots at some political figures. Included as well are some great live songs that show off the bands energy and emotion while they battle on against the forces of injustice.

It's always good to donate things and this effort is all the better because you get some really catchy music for your purchase that helps those who need it. It's win, win people! I only wish more bands would start to give to legit causes. In the end it's a fun time with our old friends Anti-Flag as we groove to their rememberable punk and help victims of crimes, in any aspect of the word. I wonder if they will switch their name to Pro-Flag because of how they are flying their flags for this benefit EP.
