Poison The Well
Beginning in 1998, we have worked hard for the better part of a decade creating something that's very special. With the release of an EP "Distance Only Makes The Heart Grow Fonder" and three LPs, ("The Opposite of December...A Season of Separation", "Tear From The Red", and "You Come Before You") we have earned the position to be able to continue doing what we love; music, and touring. Though many changes have taken place within and outside of the band, for better or for worse, our ideals have never changed from the original drive to just be a band - make the most honest music we can and do it to the best of our abilities. That ideal which is so important in being able to maintain some sort of integrity and solidarity. A little eloquence too. Poison the Well is the main focal point in all of our lives Through the years past, present, and beyond, we have and will continue to work under the assumption that it can and will continue. From record to record we've tried to make something individual, a reflection of where we are at that point in time. With the up coming release of our new record, "Versions", we pushed ourselves to make a record that's the most pissed off and beautiful collection of ideas that we possibly could, trying to sound like nothing else but ourselves. Once again we have teamed up with Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lövström to capture the full idea of what our music is. "Versions" has been a recording endeavor taking place over the course of a year and a half in Umeå, Sweden, culminating in the Fall of 2006. So here we find ourselves, in a 19th century barn, bringing to you what will hopefully turns out to be a fresh sound for our band.
