Your new cd, Wings For The Wounded is coming out, how did the writing process come along?
>It was alot of work! due to everybodys different work schedules we used to write at 6 am to noon then everybody would go to work and we'd come back and write in the evening this went on everyday for a couple of months it was intense! but we got it done and are definately happy with the result.
Where did the name Esme come from? What does it mean?
>The name esme' (pronounced ez-may) came from a jd salinger short story "remember esme' with love and squalor" the moral of the story is basically hope and love for something which our band firmly believes in with not only music but just life in general.
Could you possibly tell us a little bit of background information on the band?
>The band was formed with myself (Johnathan), Eric, and David we used to jam out at davids house and at the time were all in a different bands but we decided to join forces and along the way aquired Greg, Donny, and Geoff we all just started writing together and it turned into something we loved and other people felt as well.
So how many tours have you guys been on?
>Weve done some mini tours off and on but were planning our first US tour set to take place hopefully in a few months were all really stoked about it!

Whats your favorite moment as a band?
>This is easy haha my favorite moment was definately onstage at a saosin show just staring out into the crowd at our last song and just seeing everybody singing along i dont think ill ever forget that moment it just made me realize how important music and doing what i do is to me .
So you probably didn't know, but "in the underground" you guys have had a lot of attention and your EP is probably one of the more anticipated EP's of the year. Any thoughts on that?
>Im just stunned! Our band has had some setbacks along the way at one point we were playing in a garage and gettin the cops called on us everyday for noise complaints haha but we made it through all that and its just completely awesome to see that our hard work has had some effect but really my main thoughts are thank u to our fans its all about them and we love our fanbase!

>definately pecan pie!! cmon were a southern band duh hah
Who was the producer on your new cd?
>Our producers were lee march and andy reiley
lee recently did the farless and fight paris album and andy has done such artist as queen david bowie and has even worked with teh rolling stones it was way awesome being able to work with those guys haha we have plenty of storys........ive said enough haha
Do you have anyone that influences your style of music, or do you just do what you do?
>I mean we definately have favorite bands but when our music is written its never in vein of somebody else its just whatever comes out
