Alright, first things first. Please state your name, number, serial number, address, how tall you are, and if your taking any medications. But really just the name and what you do in the band.
>Alrighty!!! My name is Chris and I Sing and play the Guitar for The Malheruex!
Your debut EP was released this summer, did you feel it was a success?
>It certainly felt like a big success for everyone in the band as far as finally finishing it on time. And we got a good response from all our fans too. There is a long story behind the recording of the EP which would probably make a good movie someday!!!hahaha
I see that you've been doing some shows in Cali and that there are some coming up in Arizona, Nevada, and one in Utah but have you guys talked about a tour?
>We definitely talk about touring ALL THE TIME, cause im sure there is nothing more that we would love to do, but booking shows outside of California has proven to be very difficult.
If so, what states would you cover and would there any fellow bands tagging along?
>I’m sure if we had it our way we would try to hit every state on our way across the U.S. haha, and as far as bringing a band along its always fun to tour with friends.
Lets get to the biggest news, the full length. How do you feel about the step from EP to full length in such a short period of time?
>The EP was more of a "test the waters" kind of step for us. Once we finished it we all felt like we were ready for the real deal.
How did the idea for a three part album originate?
>Well, once I heard of Thrice’s idea for their new album "The Alchemy Index", the thought automatically popped in my head. The thought of such a diverse cd just allows us to show people what we can do.
How do you think your fan base will respond too this snazzy idea of three sections containing different styles of music?
>Hopefully everyone will be open minded and just take it in and appreciate it, but its so hard these days for anyone to keep an open mind with music. Its tough for a band to decide where they want there music to continue going and weather or not the fans will follow.
Obviously you guys have talent and you probably know it, but do you feel like producers and record labels have noticed it?
>One would hope. But personally I feel like weather someone has noticed us or not there is still so much more we have to offer, given the chance.
Has there been any talk about a possible home on a record label or would you rather remain independent?
>Its always nice to have a place to go home to!! Hahaha, but we’ve had an offer and we’ve heard whisper’s, but we’re just going to wait and see what happens.
Is there anything else you would like to add to the viewers of SLP or your fans?
>Indeed there is…Thanks to everyone that believes in us and supports us. And to every new listener, please make it out to a show!!! We wont let you down!!!
