Can you start by telling us your name and what you do/play in The Dangeous Summer?
>Hey! I am Cody, I play guitar.
We really have been waiting for the release of "If Only You Could Keep Me Alive." What was the writing and recording period for it like for you guys?
>Well writing for this release was pretty odd, part where written when the band wasn't even together, some was recorded in December 2006 as a demo and was later re-mixed and the rest was recorded in the spring of 2007, so as you can tell all the song are going to have its own 'feel' and moods.
After the success of your first EP and the promising look of your new EP, might we see a full length in the near future? Or do you guys love EPs? (We certianly do)
>Hah, we do love EPs but the only reason why we did another one was because not many people know who we are, the next release will definatly be a full length and hopefully won't be too far down the road, we have already started writing it and can not wait to show you what we've come up with.
What drew you guys to Hopeless/Subcity in the first place? And what do you guys think of their charitable works?
>The things Hopeless/Subcity do for charity is amazing, they have raised and donated so much money for so many different causes, its really awesome. We have seen them do some awesome things for bands and they work really close with their bands which is what we loved most about the label.
What are some of your musical influences for this EP as well as in general?
>We went into writting this EP listening to ALOT of U2 and Third Eye Blind, they have definatly helped shape our sound.
I'm from MD, and us MD guys have to look out for each other. What do you think of the music scene coming from the DC/MD/VA (Metropoliton) area as of late?
>After playing with bands from different music scenes I have really come to appreciate Maryland, we have awesome bands, awesome venues, places to record and kids come to all the shows, its not that way in alot of other places.
You guys are touring like demons, what has been your favorite venue?
>We haven't really played that many awesome places, The Roxy in Hollywood was pretty aweosme.
What is something that you guys can't live without on tour?
>My sidekick haha, I don't know what I would do on those long drives without something to talk to everyone with.
Last of the tour questiongs, but where is your most favorite place to stop and eat on the road?
>There is this place in Orlando called The Lazy Moon, it has like 30" pizza and it is amazing, that is one place that I plan to go to next time we are down there.
What is the crazyest thing a fan has done for you guys?
>Haha umm nothing too crazy but we had someone bring us a teddy bear with stuff written all over it and a bunch of cookies for us.
What is your most anticipated release of 2007?
>Well it was The Starting Line but that came out, I am looking forward to new Coheed and ALL TIME LOW!!
I guess that wraps it up! Thanks for taking time to answer our questions. Is there anything you would like to say to the readers of Skylinepress.net?
>Umm, YES! Check out our new EP in stores in August 21st, we will be touring for the rest of this year so come check out a show!
