Where did the name Blinded Black and the album name "Under The Sunrise" come from?

>Well when I was like 15 myself, Jake and Nick started Blinded Black and it honestly had no meaning it was just something that we thought sounded cool at the time. We just wanted to stick to our roots with the name haha. When we named the album we wanted it to reflect the feeling of the lyrics and music in the album and "Under the Sunrise" gave us a dark but happy feeling if you understand. It was just something I believe we all felt fit right to reflect the album.

How did the writing and recording process for "Under The Sunrise" go?

>It was extremely awesome considering we have all been life long friends. We work very well together and we are excited to write our next record already haha.

How was it to work with Marc McClusky as producer, do you feel he let your sound come out the way that you hoped it would?

>Marc was great to work with. We definatly came into the studio with a ton more screams and a harder sound but when we got into the studio Marc helped us find our sound.

What are some of the influences of your sound?

>I love Lucky Boys Confusion, Finch, Say Anything, Pink Floyd is like one of my favorite bands of all time.

What drew you to Sidecho Records?

>We had showcased for labels like Victory Records and Rust/Universal before we made our demo with McClusky and got the same vibe from both labels which was a extremely business and scary feeling to know how signing a contract could make or break us. Then when Sidecho heard our demo James (owner) was just extremely awesome to us. He was a great guy and just loved our music and I could tell when we met that this guy would not screw us and was a sincere dude. So we signed with Sidecho.

How's the tour going with Vanna and Lovehatehero?

>Well the tour is over for the most part and it was fucking incredible. They are some of the coolest guys I've ever met and it sucks cause we are all gonna miss them. We hope to tour with them again soon.

What's one thing you guys can't live without on tour?

>AIRBORNE!! we need our pills haha. We get sick to much without our vitimans.

What is one of your most anticipated releases this year?

>I can't wait to hear the new Lost Prophets cd. I love that band.
